Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Stratum, a software-as-a-service platform operated by Stratum, Inc. ("Stratum," "we," "us"), based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. By creating an account or using the service at stratum.build or app.stratum.build, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Stratum is business management software for construction and outdoor-living contractors: leads, estimates, calculators, job tracking, scheduling, team management, and related tools. Stratum is a digital service — no physical goods are sold, so no shipping or product-return process applies.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the actions of teammates you invite. The service is intended for business use by persons 18 or older.

3. Free Trial, Subscriptions & Billing

Cancellation, refund, and dispute terms are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Promotions & Discount Codes

From time to time we may offer promotional pricing or discount codes (for example, founding-member discounts). Unless stated otherwise in the specific offer: one promotion per customer; promotions apply to new subscriptions only; discounts apply for the period stated in the offer and then convert to standard pricing; promotions have no cash value, are not transferable, and may be modified or withdrawn at any time (existing redemptions are honored for their stated duration). The specific terms shown with an offer control if they differ from these defaults.

5. Your Data

Your business data — customers, jobs, estimates, photos, financial records — belongs to you. We use it only to operate the service. You can export your data or request a copy at any time by contacting us. If your account is canceled, we retain your data for 90 days (so you can reactivate or export) and then delete it.

6. Acceptable Use

Don't use Stratum to break the law, infringe others' rights, send spam, attempt to breach the service's security, or resell access without our written agreement. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practicable.

7. Availability & Support

We work to keep Stratum available around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Customer support is provided by email at support@stratum.build — we typically respond within one business day.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Stratum is provided "as is." Estimates, calculators, and insights are tools to support your judgment — you are responsible for verifying pricing, measurements, and business decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stratum's total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Legal & Export Restrictions

Stratum is operated from the United States and governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. You may not use the service if doing so is prohibited by U.S. law, including U.S. export controls and sanctions — the service is not available to persons or entities in embargoed jurisdictions or on U.S. restricted-party lists.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. For material changes we'll notify account owners by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
