Refund & Cancellation Policy

Stratum is a monthly software subscription. We'd rather earn your business every month than trap you in it — here's exactly how trials, cancellations, refunds, and disputes work.
Free Trial
Every new company gets a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. If you don't choose a plan, the trial simply ends — there is nothing to cancel and you will never be charged for a trial.
How to Cancel
- In the app: Settings → Billing → Manage payment method & invoices → Cancel subscription (this opens our Stripe billing portal), or
- By email: send a note to support@stratum.build from your account email and we'll cancel it for you within one business day.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full access until then, and you are not charged again. Your data remains exportable for 90 days after cancellation, after which it is deleted.
Refunds
- First month guarantee: if Stratum isn't right for you, contact us within 30 days of your first subscription charge and we'll refund it in full.
- After that: monthly charges are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, but we review every request — if we've billed you in error, or something on our end kept you from using the service, we'll make it right with a refund or credit.
- Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Billing Disputes
If you believe a charge is wrong, email support@stratum.build with the charge date and amount. We respond to billing disputes within 2 business days and resolve most within 5. We'd genuinely rather fix a billing problem directly than have you go through your card issuer — but you always retain the right to dispute a charge with your bank.
Returns
Stratum sells software subscriptions only — no physical goods — so there is nothing to ship or return.
